Irvin D. Putney

Age 73 – died on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born on July 10, 1936 in Van Meter, Iowa, the son of Ray and Lucille (Myers) Putney.
Irvin is survived by his daughter, Cindy Egge of Sioux Fall, SD, two grandchildren, and three brothers, Max (Karen) Putney of Sioux Falls, SD, Rex (Gloria) Putney of Janesville, WI, and Charles (Susan) Putney of Verona, WI. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Irvin was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janice Ryman, and two brothers, Jack Putney and Richard Putney.
Irvin had been employed as a bull hauler for a livestock trucking company. He had also done some other truck driving over the years. He had served in the US Army from October of 1958 until October of 1960. He became a resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King in May of 2006.
A graveside service followed by military honors will be held at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM, with Chaplain Russ Lowe, officiating. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
