Isabelle Jacowski's Obituary
ISABELLE JACOWSKI
AMHERST, WISCONSIN Age 97 passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at Care Partners Assisted Living in Stevens Point, WI. Isabelle was born March 23, 1911 to Frank and Mary (Dulske) Tetzloff and was raised in the Town of Stockton. Her marriage to Valentine Jacowski took place on August 23, 1933 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in the Town of Lanark. They resided on Val’s family farm in the Town of Lanark until October 1957 when they moved to Milwaukee. Val passed away on May 1, 1963. Isabelle continued with her part-time jobs where she was a clerk in various stores. She then became a “live-in” companion for elderly ladies, before moving into a Senior Complex in Greenbrook, WI where she was the activity director for 15 years. Around the age of 85, she moved back to Hillcrest Manor in Amherst before entering various assisted living facilities in the area. Isabelle shared her organizational talents being a 4-H leader for 10 years, church organist for 35 years, a Stanley Home Products Dealer for 25 years, and was active in a the many churches she was a member of. Isabelle loved to make crafts. She was the mother who made identical crafts for approximately 40 family members for Christmas for 15 years. She was the grandma who made an afghan for each grandchild, and the lady who made a set of decorator pillows for each wedding and/or special anniversary for family and friends. She also kept a diary of birthdays/anniversaries and sent greeting cards to them every year. Music and singing was another large part of Isabelle’s life. This was shown at her 90th birthday party where she was still dancing the polka. Isabelle was a lady who couldn’t make decisions, but had sympathy and a lending ear for anyone who would want to share their thoughts with her. Her motto was “I’m doing the best I can.” Isabelle is survived by:
