JACK A. ALLEN
POY SIPPI, WI Age 74 - died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the Berlin Memorial Hospital in Berlin, WI. He was born on October 1, 1932 in the Township of Lanark, Portage County, WI, a son of the late Kenneth and Clara (Coey) Allen, Sr. He married Janet Pagel on March 19, 1955 at the Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi, WI. Jack is survived by his wife: Janet, three daughters: Cheryl Flanigan of Berlin, WI, Debbie (Jeff) Spritka of Berlin, WI, and Lori Janes (Significant other: Mike Nitzke) of Poy Sippi, WI, a son: Jerry Allen of Ripon, WI, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, his mother: Clara Ponath of Fremont, WI, and a brother: Kenneth (Mary) Allen, Jr. of Washington State. Jack was preceded in death by a son: Ricky Ken Allen, two granddaughters: Kelly Jo Spritka and Trina Krause, and his father: Kenneth Allen, Sr. Jack had been employed as a truck driver for many years, working with various companies during the time of his employment. He was a member of the Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church of Poy Sippi, WI. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War A funeral service will be held at the Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi, WI on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Brian Beardsley, officiating. Interment will be in the Poy Sippi Cemetery. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Poy Sippi, WI on Thursday, February 1, 2007 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, and at the church on Friday morning, one hour prior to the time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church of Poy Sippi, WI in the name of Jack A. Allen. The Holly Funeral Home of Poy Sippi, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
