Jacqueline Thoms' Obituary
Jacqueline (Jackie) Thoms, age 69, of Waupaca, WI, was reunited with her soul mate on Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Jackie was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 5, 1937, the daughter of the late John and Sylvia (Riemer) Wafler. Jackie was a beautician to many family and friends. She also worked for many years at the Embers Restaurant in Milwaukee. On April 19, 1958, she married Harry W. Thoms in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2007. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca and was involved in newcomers, meals on wheels and activities at the Wisc. Veterans Home including running the ramp bowling for many years. Jackie is survived by her children: Duane (Sue) Thoms of Brookfield, WI; Renee (Larry) Miszewski of Rhinelander, WI; Laura (John) Richter of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Melinda (Robert) Derus of Black River Falls, WI and her eight grandchildren: Michael, Amanda; Steven, Rebecca; Alicia, Nathan; Jessie and Ashley. Funeral Service will be on Friday, Nov. 23 at 11 AM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Father Paul Vanden Hogen, officiating. Interment will be in the Parfreyville Cemetery, Town of Dayton, Wisconsin. Visitation will be on Friday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
