James F. Corbin's Obituary
James Franklyn Corbin passed away on December 8, 2023 at the age of 84. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
James was born on February 27, 1939 in Culpeper, Virginia. At the age of 19, James enlisted in the United States Navy and served until he was honorably discharged in 1962. James then moved to Wisconsin and in 1964, he married the love of his life, Doris K. Pomerenke and raised six children together.
After entering his “retirement years” James loved spending time with his family, gardening, birdwatching (and feeding), taking trips on his Spyder, and tinkering with all of his side projects.
Your love and guidance through life has provided us with the strength and fortitude to lead our own lives and families. You will be missed, but will live on in our hearts and memories.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Doris and daughter, Tracy. James is survived by children, Tina Kallstrom, Terry Durrant, Troy Corbin, Tim (Jessica) Corbin, and Thomas Corbin,
nine grandchildren, Ashlie (Travis) Hanson, Brittany Durrant, Justin (Skye) Kallstrom, Devin (Dezeriae) Durrant, Henry (Kari) Kallstrom, James Kallstrom, Tia (Travis) Gerads, Madalyn Corbin, and Olivia Corbin, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM until time of service at Holly’s. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
