James H. Davis
Pine River, WI Age 60 – died on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the Appleton Medical Center in Appleton, WI. He was born on December 4, 1947 in Berlin, WI, the son of Harry and Esther (Schenk) Davis. He married Sandy Doro on September 26, 1970 in Berlin, WI. James is survived by his wife; Sandy, two sons; Mark Davis of Pine River, and Brian (Jennifer) Davis of Pine River, two grandchildren; Tyler and Alexis Davis, his sister; Judy (William) Wright of Winneconne, a niece; Pam (Les) Billman of Neenah, and a nephew; Mike Wright of Rochester, MN. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. Jim had lived on the family farm for his entire life. He had attended grade school in Poy Sippi and had graduated from Berlin High School. He had worked for a short while at Olsen’s Mill in Auroraville. He then worked for the Poy Sippi Farm Supply for about 15 years. He was currently employed with Trega Foods in Weyauwega for the last six years. Jim was a past member of the former Poy Sippi Lion’s Club. He loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting, cat fishing, and four wheeling. He especially loved snowmobiling. A funeral service will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi, WI on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 10:30 AM, with the Reverend David Sielaff, officiating. Interment will be in the Brushville Cemetery, Township of Bloomfield, Waushara County. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Poy Sippi, WI on Tuesday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, and at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 – 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of James H. Davis. The Holly Funeral Home of Poy Sippi, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
