James Dyreby Sr.'s Obituary
James R. Dyreby, Sr., age 81, of Waupaca, WI., passed away on Wednesday, August 4th, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Neenah, WI., on April 23, 1929, a son of the late James and Eva (Jersild) Dyreby. He married Helen Jane Brooks on July 11, 1951 in Camp Rucker, AL. She preceded him in death on December 11, 1985. He then married Natalie (Weisser) Colligan on October 18, 1986. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. James owned and operated Jersild Knitting Mill in Neenah. He sat on many Boards, including the Marine Bank in Neenah. He was a former member of the Shriners, Masonic Lodge and the American Legion. James was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Survivors include his Wife: Natalie Dyreby, Waupaca, WI; Children: Dr. James (Kathleen) Dyreby Jr., Rhinelander, WI; Georgianne (Mark) Rasmussen, Darnestown, MD; Paula (Dean) Clappes, Oshkosh, WI. Step-Children: Don (Nancy) Colligan Jr., Waupaca, WI; Colleen (David) Sommer, Beaver Dam, WI; Sisters: Lois (Ed) Fischer, Waupaca, WI; Cecelia (Dick) Nelson, California. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Besides his parents and first wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Dyreby, a daughter, Melinda Smith and one sister, Janet Dutcher. Memorial Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca at 11 AM on Saturday, August 7th, 2010, with Reverend Dr. Charles Tews officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca at a later date. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
