James Gruendemann's Obituary
James A. Gruendemann, 42, Weyauwega, died peacefully on May 29th, 2007. He was born to Daniel and Mary Gruendemann on June 17th, 1964 in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Jim will be greatly missed by his loving wife Julie, his son, Eli (3); his mother Mary; stepdaughter Jill Johnson and stepson Joel Johnson. He will also be remembered fondly by his four sisters, Meg Gruendemann of Waukesha; Sara Stelter and Rachel (Norriss) Lehman of Wautoma; and Paula (Doug) Milner of Arkansas; mother-in-law, Ruth Holub of Mishicot; brothers-in-law, Roger (Debbie) Holub; Andrew Holub; and sister-in-law, Jan (Mark) Tess.
Jim is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jim left an indelible mark on many friends, including Todd & Kerry Waitrovich of Waupaca; his many beloved “Smudge” friends from UW-Stout; best friend from high school, Jeff (Sarah) Vallier, Indiana; and many church friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father; his brother Daniel; father-in-law, Emmanuel Holub; brother-in-law, John Stelter; and sister-in-law, Norma Holub. Special thanks goes to Jim and Julie’s family; Smudge, Ink.; church members from Shepherd of the Lakes Church, and other extended family and friends for their support at the hospital and at home. A Memorial Service will be on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Shepherd of the Lakes Church, Waupaca, WI. Reverends David Martin and Dean Wheeler will preside. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
