James Hewitt's Obituary
James Bryant Hewitt, 62, life long resident of Fond du Lac, passed away on Memorial Day, May 29, 2006, at Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, WI. Jim was born April 1, 1944 to Sheldon and Evelyn Hewitt in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He enlisted in the US Army following high school and served as a radio equipment operator in the Korean War. Jim married Ellen Siewert, July 11, 1970 in Oshkosh, WI. He was a technical representative for the Xerox Corporation until retirement. In his spare time, Jim was an avid photographer. With camera in hand, he hiked the backroads of Wisconsin. In addition to his father, Sheldon, Jim is survived by his siblings, Mary (Paul) Geier, Carmel, IN; Marcia Barrier, Fond du Lac, WI; Thomas (Judy) Hewitt, Surprise, AZ; Gregory Hewitt, Waukesha, WI and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn; wife, Ellen and a nephew, Michael Geier. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Presentation Parish, 705 Michigan Avenue, North Fond du Lac, WI. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment of cremains will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh, WI. Memorial contributions may be made to the King Recreation Fund.
