James V. McCormick's Obituary
James V. McCormick, age 72, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born December 3, 1945 in Madison, WI; son of Raymond and Hila (Helm) McCormick. James entered the U.S. Navy immediately following high school and retired after 20 years of service. He then went to work as a civilian for the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL. James will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
James is survived by four of his siblings, Larry McCormick of Arizona, Mary (Francis) Eustice of Pardeeville, WI, Catherine McCormick of Waunakee, WI, and Midge (Kevin) Fredrickson of Viroqua, WI; and a brother-in-law, Don Gardner of Reedsburg, WI. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Hila McCormick, and three siblings, Karen Gardner, Greg McCormick, and Kevin “Beaver” McCormick.
A Memorial Graveside Service with full military honors will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. Chaplain Rich Engle will officiate. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
