James G. O'Donahue's Obituary
James George O'Donahue, age 92, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Bethany Home. He was born August 20, 1927 in Milwaukee, WI as the son of Richard and Esther (Shoemaker) O'Donahue. Jim served in the Army Aircorps from October 16, 1945 to March 13, 1949 and was stationed in Germany. On December 10, 1949 he married Pearl May Goff. Jim is survived by his wife, Pearl; two brothers,Terrence O'Donahue and John O'Donahue of Wisconsin; four children, Douglas O'Donahue of Chicago, IL, Kathleen (Michael) Peters of Sarasota, FL, Nancy Pascoe of Ravenna, OH, and Linda O'Donahue of Alton, IL; seven grandchildren, Gavin O'Donahue, Richard (SammiJo) O'Donahue, Jr., Aaron O'Donahue, Cassandra O'Donahue, Gregory (Melanie) O'Donahue, Sandra (Carl) Henley, Jennifer Voss; six great-grandchildren, Oliver O'Donahue; Caitlin (Jon) Portela, Erin O'Donahue; Stephanie, Samantha, and Steven Memmel; Victoria, Brandon and Sarah Kurzynski; four great-great grandchildren: Ava and River Yax, Shawn O'Donahue, and Hailie Shreeves.
Jim was predeceased by parents Richard and Esther O'Donahue, siblings Patrick O'Donahue, Jeanne Harris, Michael O'Donahue, Robert O'Donahue, and Donald O'Donahue; son, Richard O'Donahue; and grandson, Derek O'Donahue.
Jim was a proud and lifetime member with the Amvets and was a former Commander of the Amvets post in Fond du Lac, WI which he was instrumental in founding and organizing.
A memorial service will be held on November 1, 2019, at King Veterans Center's main Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be immediately following the service at the King Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Honor Guard in attendance.
