Jared A. Harris' Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Jared Harris, 39, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, who was born February 2, 1987, and passed away on March 9, 2026.
Jared was a devoted father, loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. His greatest joy in life was his daughter, Kendell Harris, whom he loved more than anything. Time spent with her meant the world to him, and the bond they shared will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved them both.
He is survived by his daughter, Kendell Harris; his mother, Kristy Harris; his sister, Mandy Harris; his nephew and niece, Brayden and Kaylee Harris; and his maternal grandparents, John and Carolyn Smith. Jared is also lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John “Hap” Harris; his paternal grandparents, Earl and Leona Harris; and his cousin, Sam Smith.
Jared had a love for the outdoors and the simple adventures life brought his way. He enjoyed playing hockey, fishing, and had a curious spirit that often led him to collect bugs he probably shouldn’t have touched. Family and friends also knew him as a self-proclaimed professional turtle and frog catcher, always ready to scoop one up and share the moment with whoever happened to be nearby. These small, joyful memories are ones his family will cherish forever.
Though Jared faced struggles in life, those who loved him take comfort in knowing he is now at peace. He will be remembered as a son, a brother, a father, an uncle, and a friend whose life touched many.
A celebration of Jared's life will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the Wheelhouse Restaurant from 1 to 3 p.m.
Jared will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
