Jean E. Smith's Obituary
Jean E. Smith, age 84, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2006 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. Jean was born in Almond, WI on July 9, 1922, the daughter of the late Irvin and Bessie (Newby) Albertie. Jean was a Middle School Teacher for over 40 years. She married Howard C. Smith on July 15, 1944 in the Town of Buena Vista, Portage Co. and he preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1992. She is a member of First United Methodist Church in Waupaca. Jean is survived by her daughters: Donna (Don) Jorgenson of Waupaca, WI and Kathy (Paul) Roloff of Waupaca, WI and 3 Grandsons: Chad (Kathy) Jorgenson of Chicago, IL; Jaason Roloff of Golden, CO and Terrance Roloff of Waupaca, WI. Jean is further survived by many relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Donald & Terry, a sister, Charlotte Lauver and a brother, Lloyd Albertie. Funeral Service will be on Weds. August 9 at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Waupaca with Reverend Cathy J.N. Weigand, officiating. Interment will be in the Plover Cemetery, Plover, WI. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jean's name.
