Jeanne E. Tarr's Obituary
Jeanne Tarr of Waupaca, age 77, died in her home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Jeanne was born March 4, 1946 in Waukesha, WI to Kenneth and Hannah Robbins (Nee Christensen). She attended Waupaca High School and studied business in Madison. Jeanne married Gary Grimm in 1967, had three children, she loved unconditionally. Jeanne remarried in 1980 to Wayne Tarr. She will be missed greatly. Jeanne worked as a Resident Care Associate most of her working years. Caring for others came naturally to her. She was also known for her compassion for animals. She enjoyed road trips, being in nature, especially in the summertime. Her favorite hobbies were reading, creative writing and was never without a book or a pen. Family was the most important to her and lived a life of determination, generosity filled with laughter, wisdom and a gentle heart.
Jeanne is survived by her sisters Judy Malone, Mary Lee Rowe; brother-in-law Louis Hass; son Todd (Heather) Grimm; daughters Jennifer Grimm-Schwirtz, Sara Hales; god-daughter Susan Kamp; grandchildren Liz (Sam) Shepard, Nathan (Becky) Grimm, Liz (Patrick) Michaelis, Austin (Robyn) Michaelis, Stephanie (Nathan) Gerard, Corey Mentzel, Cameron Mentzel, Natasha Hales; great-grandchildren Peyton, Connor, Hannah, Wyatt, Felix, Mila, Henry, Astoria, Lilah, Rosie; also many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and close family friends. Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Leonard, David, Virginia, Barbara; brother-in-law Steven; son-in-law Brad; and grandson Reuben.
The family would like to send special appreciation to Holly Funeral Home and the exceptional care from Theda Care Medical Center and Theda Care Hospice. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
