Jennifer Sue Bruss' Obituary
Jennifer “Jenny” Sue Bruss (née Brunette), aged 69, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2024 at her home in Saxeville, WI. Born on July 13, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI to Robert and June Brunette, she is survived by husband Paul; daughters Kelly, Kimberly, and Kristen; sister Jody Selbo; sister Robin (Bill Eaton); brother Quin (Kelly Brunette); sister Tracy; sister-in-law Robin Brunette; sister-in-law Patti, sister-in-law Marie (Dave Kollakowsky); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and June Brunette (née Dolphin), and a brother, Holle Brunette. Jenny was a proud resident of both Milwaukee and Saxeville, Wisconsin, designating her home on Lake Kristine her “happy place.” She and Paul were married on June 15, 1984; this year would have marked their 40th wedding anniversary. Jenny enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse in the Milwaukee area before retiring to her lake home in Saxeville, WI in 2020. She loved watching the sun rise over Lake Kristine, sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee while Gypsy and Rocco played in the yard; rides on her golf cart; and frequent vacations in Puerto Vallarta. Jenny’s laughter and love of life defined her; she often insisted that she was the funniest person she knew. Family, friends, and others are invited to celebrate Jenny’s life at Springwater Volunteer Covered Bridge Park in Wild Rose at 11 AM on Saturday, June 29, 2024, with a reception to follow at Paul and Jenny’s home on Lake Kristine. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Froedtert Hospital Foundation. Jenny’s family would also like to have a tree planted in her memory and give a gift to her hospice team, who were absolutely wonderful; if you would like to contribute to either of those causes, please get in touch with her daughter Kimberly.
