Jerome K. Gullixon's Obituary
Jerome Keith Gullixon (Jerry), 98 of Waupaca passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 18, 2026 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. Jerry was born on October 19, 1927 at Theda Clark in Neenah, WI, to Erwin and Marion (Peterson) Gullixon.
Jerry grew up on the family farm until graduating from high school. He joined the army and was honorably discharged in 1945. He then attended college in Fergus Falls, MN where he met his first wife Elva (Erickson) Gullixon. Together they had five children.
Jerry is survived by his four children Jonathon, Cynthia (Jim) Miller, Michael Sr., Rhoda (David) Huycke all of Waupaca, step children Bonnie, Charlie, Dawn and Andy. He also had three grandchildren Mike Gullixon Jr., Ivy (Nate) Newell, Abby (Nate) Miller, six great grandchildren Joseph Gullixon, Jackson Miller, Reagan Miller, Gemma Miller, Mason Newell, Cameron Newell, also step great grandchildren. Jerry is also survived by his brother David (Allegra) Gullixon, sisters Ellen (Jim) Danielsen, Carla (Doug) Paneitz. Also many nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife Elva Gullixon, his son Keith, his brothers Eugene, Richard and Paul, his sister Marilyn and second wife Charline.
Jerry worked for many years at the Waupaca Foundry before taking a new job at American Potato in Plover, WI, then moving to southern states ending up in Lillian, Alabama, where they lived for about 30 years before moving back to Waupaca to be closer to family.
There will be no funeral service per Jerry and Char's wishes. There will be a graveside service later this spring for both Jerry and Char.
