Jerome "Jerry" J. Hofmaier's Obituary
Jerome “Jerry” J. Hofmaier, age 88, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose, WI. He was born November 21, 1931 in Lincoln, NE; son of Camillus and Clara (Leader) Hofmaier. Jerry graduated from Irene High School in Irene, SD. On August 31, 1957, he married Alice M. Edrman at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Neosho, WI. He will be dearly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Alice Hofmaier of Wild Rose, WI; three children, Janice Hofmaier of Milwaukee, WI, Michael (Goldie) Hofmaier of Palm City, FL, and Kay (significant other, Kris Turner) Hofmaier of Milton, IN; two grandchildren, Yalanda (Jason) Ludtke of Milwaukee, WI and Keenya Hofmaier of London, England, UK; four sisters, Marvel Grady-Broker of Hartford, WI, Donna Stoffel of Cedarburg, WI, Joanne (Edward) Machacek of Seymour, WI, and Charlene (Robert) Moitke of Grafton, WI; and two sisters-in-law, Charlene Hofmaier of Hartford, WI and Esther Hofmaier of Allenton, WI. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Camillus and Clara Hofmaier; a great-granddaughter, Bea Grace Ludtke; three brothers, Francis (Shirley) Hofmaier, Darrell Hofmaier, and Merle Hofmaier; and three brothers-in-law, Donald Grady, Glenn Broker, and Ralph Stoffel.
A Memorial Mass will be on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wautoma, WI. Father David Greskowiak will preside. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the church. Burial of Jerry’s cremains will take place at a later date at St. Bartholomew Cemetery in Neosho, WI. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements.
