JEROME “JERRY” R. KOPP
PLOVER, WISCONSIN
Jerome Ronald Kopp, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his home in Plover, WI. He was born on June 19, 1932 in Tigerton, WI to the late Clarence “Edwin” and Helen (Spieth) Kopp. Jerry attended local schools in Tigerton and the University of WI-Madison. He joined the Navy ROTC and was awarded a scholarship to the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Jerry graduated from the University of WI-Milwaukee with a degree in business administration. He was a certified public accountant and started his banking career with the First Wisconsin National Bank in Milwaukee. Jerry then became a commercial vice president with the First National Bank of Stevens Point, WI. He was a dedicated sports fan cheering on the Packers and the Badgers. Jerry enjoyed reading his weekly newspaper “The Sporting News”.
Jerry leaves behind his children, Karen (Joel) Horwich and David (Nicole) Kopp; his grandchildren, Sarah and Emily Horwich, Abigale and Jillian Kopp; former wife, Marian Bado; sisters-in-law, Nancy Kopp-Schultz and Peg Kopp; and four nephews, Dan (Patricia) Kopp, Tom (Helen) Kopp, Mike Kopp, and Matt Kopp. He is further survived by other relatives, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Helen Kopp, and two brothers, Jeffrey Kopp and Paul Kopp.
A Graveside Service will be on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca, WI. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
The family would like to thank Tom Domaszek and caregivers, Susie and Dale Firkus for their special care of Jerry through the years.
