JoAnn A. Jorgenson's Obituary
JoAnn A. Jorgenson, age 83, of Waupaca, passed away on Friday, January 26th, 2024 at Crossroads Care Center of Weyauwega. She was born in Bear Creek, WI on July 31, 1940, a daughter of the late Mark and Dorothy (Steinke) Heger.
JoAnn worked part time at Ranch Oak Motel for many years when her children were growing up (her children would help when they got older). After Ranch Oak sold, she worked at Trade Winds in Manawa, Churney Cheese and retired from Wohlt cheese in New London. JoAnn enjoyed going to flee markets, rummage sales, going to country music and polka festivals. She also very much enjoyed going to Daytona Beach FL on family vacations and especially enjoyed the one year when all her kids and grandchildren were all there at the same time. Memories that will last forever with her family.
Survivors include her Children: Randy (Renee) Jorgenson, Sandra (Chris) Debaker, Wendy (Thomas) Clappes, Grandchildren: Teresa (Jason) Carlson; Corey (Julie) Jorgenson; Jodie Jorgenson; John Conley; Joe Conley; Jennifer (Mike) Conley; Julia (Casey) Conley; Nicholas (Cheyanne) Clappes; Nathan (Nikki) Clappes; Tom (Alicia) Clappes; Great Grandchildren: Parker, Warren, Keagan, Easton, Addison, Zach, Sabastion, Mya, Abel, Avaya, Jaxson, Kayden, Kaylan, Adalyn, Tyler, Ophilia, Persephone, Layne and Aniston; Sisters: Dorothy (Joseph) Manweiler, Marilyn Behm; Brothers: Mark (Sandra) Heger, Glen (Rose) Heger, Kenneth (Charlotte) Heger and Donald (Theresa) Heger. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Carol Dieringer; a brother Gordon Heger; a brother-in-law - Gilbert Behm, a sister-in-law - Jeanne Heger, and 2 nephews Andrew Heger and Scott Heger.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 12:00 (Noon) on Monday, February 5th, 2024, with the Rev. Dr. Charles Tews, officiating. Interment will be held at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. Visitation will be on Monday, from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
