March 25, 1941 – February 5, 2015
Joe Harlan Malcolm Dean - died Thursday February 5, 2015 at Wisconsin Veterans Home, King WI. Joe was born March 25, 1941 in Colfax, WI, the son of Malcolm and Edith (Jones) Dean. Joe married Jean Allen on April 25, 1992. Joe resided in Dunn County near Colfax, WI; Kenosha, WI; Janesville, WI and King, WI.
Joe is survived by his wife Jean Dean of Janesville, WI, son James Edward Fondrliak of Kenosha, WI, four stepsons, Todd (Kathy) Allen of West Allis, WI, Rick Allen of Wisconsin Rapids, WI , Troy (Desiree) Allen of Waukesha, WI and Brian (Elise) Allen of Janesville, WI, sister Elaine Wilbright – Rochester, MN, Stanley (Shirley) Dean- Houston, MO, and Betty Christie-Diamondville, WY, 9 step grand children and 2 step great grand children also many nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by parents, one nephew - Dean Raven, and his sister, Loraine Raven.
Joe served in the US Navy, Worked at American Motors in Racine, WI and retired from Western Publishing (Golden Books) in Racine, WI
He enjoyed many years as an avid archer, bowhunter, pool player & bowler. Joe was a funny, easy going, genuine nice guy that always had a joke to tell and was loved my many.
Joe battled Parkinson’s Disease for many years with his last years spent in the special care of Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI.
A private family memorial service and inurnment will take place at the Popple Creek Cemetery in Dunn Co. WI in the Spring.
