John Q. Adams
Plover, WI (Formerly of Almond)
Age 93 – died on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Whispering Pines Assisted Living Facility in Plover. He was born on December 3, 1915 in the Township of Almond, Portage County, the son of Vernon and Bertha (Bibby) Adams. He married Violet L. Miner on November 8, 1934 in the Township of Belmont, Portage County. She preceded him in death on August 20, 2007.
John is survived by his daughter; Margaret (Harlan) Bender of Bancroft, and granddaughter; Wendy (Jeff) Rowsam of Denmark, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet, his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
John had farmed in the Almond area his entire life. He was a past member of the former Almond Masonic Lodge.
A private graveside service will be held at the Almond Village Cemetery in Almond on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 1:00 PM, with Reverend David Leistra – Almond United Methodist Church, officiating. The Hardell-Holly Funeral Home of Almond, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
