JOHN C. “JACK” KENDALL
WILD ROSE, WI (FORMERLY OF APPLETON, WI) Age 88 – died on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Wild Rose Manor Nursing Home in Wild Rose, WI. He was born on October 11, 1917 in Fond du Lac, WI, a son of the late Claude and Helen (Jansen) Kendall. He married Mary E. “Betty” Bauer on January 4, 1947 in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Jack was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI. He retired from the Wisconsin Telephone Company as an engineer in 1982, after 43 years of dedicated service. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II for over 4 years, and was honorably discharged as a Master Sergeant. He was a staunch conservative Republican all of his life and was recognized many times for his contributions and dedication to his beliefs and values. He was a strong believer in God and Country and read the Bible daily. Jack had been married to Betty for over 58 years and when she died on November 21, 2005, it left a void in his heart that could not be filled. Jack is survived by two sons: John R. Kendall of Mountain Home, ID, and David P. (Marsha) Kendall of Appleton, WI, a daughter: Pat Rodriguez of Rock Hill, SC, three grandchildren: Anthony Rodriguez, Stacy (Troy) Henk, and Paul (Kate) Kendall, and two great grandchildren: Trystan and Kendrick. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty, his parents, and a half-sister, Wanda. Per his wishes that could not be swayed, no funeral service will be held. Interment will be in the Howes Corner Cemetery, Township of Mt. Morris, Waushara County, WI. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
