John Chesnut's Obituary
John L. (Jack) Chesnut, age 55, of Waupaca, passed away on Tuesday, July 19th, 2005 at Cherry Meadows Hospice Center in Appleton. He was born in Joliet, IL. on January 3, 1950, the son of John L. and Alice E. Chesnut. Jack married Lori (Schoeneck) Myers on November 16, 1996 in Waupaca. He was a member of Crystal Lake United Methodist Church. Jack graduated from Joliet Jr. College. He was employed with Sunflower Manufacturing in Beloit, KS. Jack had been a member of the Moose Lodge, Aimra, FFA, Eagles and the Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce. He had also been a strong supporter of the July 4th Fireworks display in Waupaca. Jack was know very well in the states of Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana as a trusted salesman of farm equipment. He was loved for his professionalism and dedication along with the warmest smile. His laughter warmed everyone and will be missed.. Survivors include his Wife: Lori Chesnut, Waupaca; Parents: Jack & Alice Chesnut, Three Oaks, MI.; Children: John Chesnut, FL.; Paula (Jeff) Wilkinson, Glenbeulah; Jeff (Stacey) Myers, Waupaca; Tim Myers, Waupaca; Dawn (Carl) Jeske, Neenah; Grandchildren: Ashelie, Brenna, Derric and Kyle Wilkinson, Makayla Anne Myers; Sister: Gail Chesnut, FL.; Constant Companion: Shotgun, his dog. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts and uncles. Funeral Services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Waupaca at 12:30 PM on Friday, July 22nd, with Pastor Jeffrey S. Fletcher officiating. Burial will be held at Crystal Lake Cemetery, Town Dayton, Waupaca Co. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 until 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home-Waupaca and on Friday, one hour prior to the service at church. The family would like to thank the staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice Center as well as Dr. Anthony Phillips and his staff for all of the care, kindness and consideration given to Jack.
