Age 71 – died on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. He was born on July 18, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of John E. and Teresa (Klimowicz) Kelly, Sr.
John is survived by his children; Wayne (Cheryl) Kelly of Waupaca, Eric (Michelle) Kelly of Appleton, Sharon (Thomas) Hanegraaf of Elk River, MN, Kandice (Scott) Stephens of Sayner, and Roman Kelly of Milwaukee, grandchildren; Tyler, Adam, Turner, Caitlin, Megan, Ryan, Emma, Claire, Greg, and Bradley, and a sister; Doris Dobbs of Milwaukee. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister; Nancy Turner, and a brother; Thomas Kelly.
John had been a dispatcher for trucking companies in Milwaukee and Weyauwega. He had also worked at the Waupaca Foundry. He had served in the U.S. Air Force. He was an active member of the Parfreyville United Methodist Church of Waupaca. John enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and reading.
A funeral service will be held at the Parfreyville United Methodist Church of Waupaca on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Ray Robinson, officiating. Interment will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in the name of John E. Kelly, Jr. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
