John was also a charter member of Grandview Golf Course Fond memories for John included those special New Year’s Eve card sessions with special friends. How much playing of cards we don’t know. We only know that they had fun; early years of fishing on the Wolf River with Dan. He loved his fishing trips to Canada with his grandsons, his berry and peaches picking in Michigan with his wife Clarice and later with grand-daughter Brenda and Doris. His fishing trips to Peavey Pond and Kentuck Lake with Brenda and Roger. He owned boats just to own boats. Andy and David were his gophers. Go for this and go for that. Joannie cooked like Clarice and he loved to eat. June played his trumpet, chip off the old block, but only better. Most of all he loved his lake home and all those special friends and family who spent countless hours making his dream come true. Services will be held, Monday, May 5 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hortonville, Wisconsin with services officiated by Rev. Ralph Rosenberg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in his name. The family wishes to thank all the very special ladies and gentlemen who cared for our father at Brewster Village, Homestead. These very special people worked many hours and spent so much extra time giving Dad that extra care during these past several agonizing weeks. Dad’s pain is gone. Thank you also to Pastor Rosenberg for the countless times he came to be with Dad and especially on Dad’s last moments with us. Thank You All.
