Joseph E. Drexler, Jr.
King, WI (formerly of Oshkosh, WI) Age 87 - died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born on August 16, 1924 in Oshkosh, WI, the son of Joseph and Helen Drexler.
Joseph is survived by his children: Marcia Krenzel of Lockport, IL, Annette Drexler of Oshkosh, Peter (Kathy) Drexler of Brownsville, Barbara (Tim) Schneider of New London, and Brian (Heidi) Drexler of Oshkosh. He is also survived by four grandchildren, a brother: Tom (Mary Ann) Drexler of Colorado, and a sister: Virginia (Joe) Salzer of Oshkosh. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, his parents, and two brothers: Jim and Dan Drexler.
Joseph had been employed in the Graphic Arts Dept. for Hoffmaster Paper Company in Oshkosh, WI. He had proudly served his country in the US Navy during both WW II and the Korean War. Following his discharge from the Navy he served in the US Army Reserves. Joseph became a resident of the Wisconsin Veteran Home in King in March of 2009.
A Military Graveside Service will be held at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI a later date. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
