Joseph B. Moyer's Obituary
Joseph Byron Moyer age 68 passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 28th 2016 with his family at his side after a after a lingering illness. Joseph was born on Sept 10 1947, the son of Byron and Margaret (VanLieshout) Moyer. Joseph married Sue Moore on Feb. 28, 1976 and they recently celebrated their 40 years together in Florida with their children. He was a Vietnam War Veteran that served in the Marine Corp. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 1969 where he swam competitively. He loved fishing, camping, and the outdoors and was an eagle scout. The memorial service will have the full military honors.
Joseph is survived by his wife Sue Moyer (nee Moore), sister Kathryn C Moyer of Bluffton SC, son James (Jennifer) Moyer of Waupaca WI, and daughter Rebecca (Kit) Vongsa (nee Moyer) of Neenah WI. Grandchildren Alyssa Moyer, Matthew Moyer, and Zander Vongsa and aunts, cousins, and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by son Bart Moyer, father B.C. Moyer, and mother Margaret H Moyer (nee VanLieshout).
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday June 6, 2016 at 11 AM at the Faith Community Church. Pastor Eric Tober will officiate. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday from 10 until 11 AM at the Church.
