Joseph Rizzuto's Obituary
Joseph F. Rizzuto age 92 of Waupaca, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 3, 2015. Joseph was born on November 19, 1922 the son of James and Pauline (Schittone) Rizzuto and was married to the late Ione Look. He served as a cryptographic technician in the US Army Air Force, during World War 11, and for his service in Burma, was awarded 4 Overseas Service Bars, the Victory Medal, and the Bronze Battle Star. After returning from the war he was a professional artist, heading the art departments at Hall Printing Co. in Chicago and Worzalla Publishing Co. in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. His artwork can be found on many book covers, at the Lincoln Memorial and the Roosevelt Memorial in Washington D.C., and in numerous private collections.
Joseph is survived by his step-son and step-daughter, along with 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a niece and two nephews, all of whom loved him dearly. A private family service was held.
