Joseph S. Stuczynski Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph S. Stuczynski Jr. of Plover, WI, passed away peacefully Sunday September 25,2022 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Joe was born in the Town of Buena Vista, on November 12, 1938 on the Stuczynski homestead to Joseph V. and Alvina (Zblewski) Stuczynski. After attending Polly School and St. Mary’s School Fancher he graduated from Amherst High School in 1957. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish as well as the parish Holy Name Society. He farmed in the Amherst area before moving to his present address in Plover in 1998.
Joe enjoyed playing many instruments but most enjoyed playing guitar since his youth and concertina which he learned at the age of 65. He would play at nursing homes and senior centers for several years. He also enjoyed working on engines of the ‘40s,’50s and ‘60s vintage.
Joe is survived by one brother David (Germaine) Stuczynski of Amherst, WI as well as a nephew Kevin; 6 nieces Susan, Lucille, Barbara, Regina, Elizabeth, and Christine; two great nephews Zachary and Braeden and 5 great nieces Jenna, Annaline, Caylee, Vivian, and Alexandra.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Bernice (Peter) Garski; brother Eugene; nephew David and great niece Megan
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish Fancher on Saturday October 1, 2022 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a rosary led by Deacon Art, followed by visitation until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jerzy Rebacz presiding. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
