JOSEPHINE A. JANSEN
WAUPACA, WISCONSIN Age 87, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. She was born October 14, 1924 in Amite, LA; daughter of Peter and Constance (Buzzetta) Cascio. On July 18, 1953, Josephine married Gilbert T. Jansen in Waukegan, IL. Josephine loved to read, travel, listen to polka music, attend festivals, and was an avid Brewer Fan. She enjoyed gardening and attending to her flowers in her garden at home. In her family, Josephine was known as their “family genealogist”, and, if asked, knew the answers to all of the family history. She is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Josephine will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends. Josephine is survived by:

Betty Vicari of Covington, LA
Rosalie (Dudley) Edwards of Ponchatoula, LA
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Constance Cascio; two brothers, Henry Cascio and Ben Cascio; and two brothers-in-law, Thomas Sciortino and Jake Vicari. A Funeral Service will be on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Pastor Andy Behrendt will officiate. A visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at First Belmont Cemetery in the Town of Belmont on Monday.
