Joyce M. Anderson's Obituary
Joyce M. Anderson passed away peacefully at Trinity Terrace in New London, Wisconsin on Tuesday April 8, 2025. She was born on July 22, 1929 in Little Chute, Wisconsin to the proud parents of Henry and Marian (Nee Conrad) Jansen. Joyce was the eldest of 3 loving sisters. She grew up there and graduated from St. John High School with the class of 1947. On July 1, 1948 she married the love of her life and soulmate Wolcott (Andy) Anderson from Neenah, Wisconsin. Together they raised their five children and two foster sons and shared 56 wonderful years together. Joyce was a devoted and loving homemaker and later in life worked as a nurse’s aide at Riverside Hospital in Waupaca, Wisconsin. She loved to be outdoors, enjoying flower gardening, canoeing, cross country skiing, sailing, swimming, camping and hiking. She also enjoyed bowling, playing cards and Bible studies for many years with her Waupaca friends.
Joyce was truly blessed with family in her life. She is survived by her children; Bruce (Mary Ann) Anderson, Dawn (Ron) Rohde, Robin Nikolaus, Brad (Kathy) Anderson, Brian (Sandi) Anderson and foster son Chuck (Shawn) Kiesow. Joyce is also survived by 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Delores Anderson, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Wolcott “Andy” Anderson, in-laws Wolcott Sr. and Alma Anderson, two sisters and their husbands, Regina (Richard) Ludwig and Grace (Bruce) Schommer, brother-in-law Roger Anderson, infant grandson Jason Rohde, and foster son and wife Mike (Linda) Kiesow.
A Memorial Service for Joyce will be held on Friday June 6, 2025 at the Holly Funeral home in Waupaca at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Joyce will be laid to rest at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah, WI.
The family would like to thank the staff, both at Trinity Terrace in New London and Moments Hospice, for their kind and compassionate care they gave to our Mother.
