Joyce L. Nelsen's Obituary
Joyce L. Nelsen, age 73, of Poy Sippi, WI passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 at her residence. Joyce was born in the Town of Lanark, Portage County on July 23, 1937, the daughter of the late Floyd A. and Rhoda P. (Stedman) Anderson. On July 28, 1956 Joyce married John O.H. Nelsen in Waupaca and he preceded her in death on December 7, 1996 after 40 years of marriage. Joyce loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Joyce is survived by her companion; Lawrence Clark, Redgranite; her five children: Roxane (Mark) Engel, Pine River; Rochel (Lenny Wohlrabe Jr.) Nelsen, Poy Sippi; John O.H. Nelsen II, Poy Sippi; Aron Nelsen, Pine River and Renee' Nelsen, Pine River; her grandchildren: John (Jennifer) Engel; Lyn Engel; Jasper Nelsen; Laura (Jason) Meyer; Jill Engel; Rhoda (Benjamin) Stahmann; Rachel Nelsen; McKenna Cudnohoski; her seven great grandchildren: a sister: Arlene (George) Golding, Waupaca and her brothers: Lewis (Judy) Anderson, Fremont; Larry (Donzella) Anderson, Waupaca and Jerry Anderson, Waupaca; a brother-in-law: James Nelsen, Oshkosh and many nieces and nephews. Joyce was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Phylis and 6 brothers Robert, Chester, Gordon, John, Gary and Darrel and a brother-in-law, George Nelsen. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4 from 3 to 7 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Poy Sippi. Cremation will follow the visitation.
