Joyce Marion Olson's Obituary
Joyce Marion Olson, 85, of Appleton, passed away at ThedaClark Medical Center - Neenah, on Saturday, November 28, 2015. Joyce was born in Milwaukee on November 11, 1930, daughter of the late Arnold and Lillian (Rogahn) Knutsen. On May 12, 1951, Joyce was united in marriage to William Olson.
Joyce was a long time member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca. She was also a member of the HCE.
Joyce is survived by: her daughters Judith (John) Overton, Cynthia (Dan) Anderson, Gail (Terry) Olson-Smith, and Diane Olson; son Brian (Mary Bissing-Olson) Olson; granddaughters Coreen (Todd) Mueller, Nicole (Lee) Melton, Maile Smith, Megan (Hannes Zacher) Bissing-Olson, Casey Bissing-Olson, and Emily Bissing-Olson; grandsons Adam Mueller, Christopher Anderson, and Nathan Anderson; 6 great-grandchildren; sister Sandra; brothers Lester and Edward; and sister-in-law Donna Rickel. Joyce is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband William; and sister Geraldine.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, N2845 SHADOW RD., WAUPACA, with Fr. Amalraj Roche officiating. Relatives and friends may visit the family from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial Lind Center Cemetery.
