Joyce V. Rath's Obituary
Joyce V. Rath, age 89, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Theda Care Medical Center-Waupaca. Joyce was born in the Town of Scandinavia on December 22, 1927, the daughter of the late William and Letta (Johnson) Marquard. She worked at Augie's Supermarket, but her real job was caring for her 8 children. Joyce is survived by her children: Danny (Suzanne) Rath, Waupaca; Judy Hahn, Sugar Grove, IL; Marianne (Jim) Nusz, Waupaca; June (Mike) Goggins, Waupaca and Phil Rath Jr.; 13 grandchildren: 17 great grandchildren: Her Best Friend: Ray Hansen, Waupaca and her sisters: Delores Lewinski, Waupaca and Eileen Kolz, Waupaca. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Phil Rath Sr. her daughter, Susan Cartwright, her sons, Ron & Terry Rath and 3 brothers and 7 sisters and also her beloved dog of 17 years, Buttons. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, July 1 at 11 AM at Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca with Reverend Bryan Robertson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Town of Dayton, for immediate family only. Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM at the funeral home.
