We are so sorry to hear of JR’s passing. We have known him since our teenage years. I remember the good times we had at the Casino and the Windmill. JR will be missed by many. Darrell and Nancy Holman
Marty, Jay and family. I, like everyone else am sad to hear of JR's passing. He has held a special place in my heart since I was a little girl, he was always my "pretend" uncle. I was in town in August and took a drive tgrough the parking lot to see if he would be sitting out by the garage but it was very quiet and I didn't think it would be a good idea to stop for a visit due to covid.
My special memories will always be the times he let me go in all of the cages with the lions, tigers, and bears, and visiting in the house when Toby lived with you! I have a great picture of Jay brushing his teeth and Toby right next to him at the sink. Memories I will cherish forever.
I love you pretend uncle and will surely miss you. Rest in peace.

1953, J R and Dale took Danny Boone and I to see the Braves play Jackie Robinson and the Brooklyn Dodgers at the brand new County Stadium. VP Richard Nixon threw out the 1st pitch from the stands. A memory I still treasure. Thanks J R, you will always be one of a kind. Bill Curtis
Twas saddened to hear the news of JR’s passing. A family friend jr always had time for my uncle, my father and the rest of my family. I’ll miss his smile, his wit and his Stories. Damnit, a legend has moved on. May the birds be low, the bucks be big and the walleyes be biting. Rob Boudry.
Two of my favorite fishing partners!
In 1953 my mother Shirley lost her older brother Junior Moen in an Air Force plane accident. When JR found out he showed up at my mom's front door and said "come on, we're driving to Milwaukee to pick up your mother". Shirley never forgot that thoughtful act of JR's kindness.
Marty, Jay and Pam...what a special man JR was. Never saw him where he didn't have a big hug and kiss for me. He will truly be missed. Sending my love to all of you.
