JUANITA A. HELGESON
WAUPACA, WI Age 77 – died on Friday, August 3, 2007 in Waupaca, WI. She was born on April 3, 1930 in the Township of Harrison, Waupaca County, WI, a daughter of the late Chris and Thyra (Hanson) Petersen. She married Eugene Helgeson on June 25, 1955 in the Township of Harrison, Waupaca County, WI. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1990.
Juanita is survived by her daughter: Sonda Koplien of Waupaca and her special friend: Dennis Peters of Wisconsin Rapids, three grandchildren: Justin Koplien of Waupaca, Jordan Koplien of Milwaukee, and Jennifer Koplien of Waupaca, and two brothers: George (Nancy) Petersen of Manawa, and Jerome Petersen of Milwaukee. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene, her son: Gaylord Helgeson,her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
Juanita was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. She had worked for the former Zwicker Knitting Mills in both Waupaca and Appleton for over 15 years. She had also worked as a Nurses Aide for about two years at the Crystal River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waupaca.
A funeral service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery in Waupaca. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, and at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in the name of Juanita Helgeson. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
