Juanita J. Smith's Obituary
Mrs. Juanita J. Smith, age 91, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, February 28th, 2008 at Crystal River Nursing & Rehab. Center. Mrs. Smith was born in the Town of Springwater, Waushara County, Wisconsin on August 3, 1916, she was the daughter of the late William and Josephine (Brigham) Williams-Christensen. On July 24, 1937, she married Marlin Smith. in Mt. Morris, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1986. Juanita was a teacher for over 30 years. She taught in Waushara and Waukesha counties; and also the Elmbrook School District. She was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca; the Wisconsin State Teachers Retirement Association and the National Teachers Retirement Association. She is survived by Sister in laws: Arvilla (Norman) Christensen, Waupaca; Ruth Smith, Wild Rose Roseada (Al) Thornton, Wautoma; . Brother in law: Robert (Gladys) Smith, Grand Marsh, WI. Juanita is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Marlin; Sisters: Ethel Jensen, Merna Post, Mildred Williams and Lucille Eastman and Brother: Earl Williams. Funeral Service will be held at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca at 11 A.M. on Monday, March 3rd, with Reverends Jeffrey Holtan & Aaron Winkelmann officiating. Interment will be in the Pine River Cemetery in the Town Leon, Waushara County, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Sunday 4-7 P.M. at Holly Funeral Home-Waupaca and Monday 10-11 AM at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. A.J. Holly & Sons LTD
