Juanita J. Nielsen's Obituary
Juanita J. Nielsen, age 98, of Waupaca, WI and formerly of Weyauwega, WI, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Park Vista in Waupaca, WI.
She was born on July 15, 1924 in Wittenberg, WI; daughter of Paul and Esther (Krause) Hanke. On June 24, 1944, she married Ellsworth Nielsen in the Town of Lind. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage until his passing on April 20, 2004.
Juanita and Ellsworth had a dairy farm in Weyauwega, WI until the time of their retirement. She enjoyed gardening, walking; traveling, but what was most special to her was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Juanita is survived by two daughters Carol Hamm of Weyauwega, WI and Jane Glocke of Manawa, WI; one son Christian (Kristy) Nielsen of Waupaca, WI; seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one brother Duane (Sandy) Hanke of Birnamwood, WI and also, by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Ellsworth, she was preceded in death by one son Steven Nielsen; one daughter Dawn Nielsen; three brothers Norman, Willis and Vilas Hanke; three sisters Alta Johnson, Dorothy Cobb and Phyllis Johns and two son-in-law’s Tom Hamm and David Glocke.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca, WI.
