Judith M. Nygaard, age 74 of Amherst, WI passed away peacefully on April 22, 2019. Judy was born in Waupaca, WI on August 17, 1944, the daughter of the late Ernest and Viola (Johnson) Anderson. Judy graduated from Waupaca High Sch Read Obituary
Judy will always be special to me. When she and my brother Bob decided to get
married, Judy asked me to be a bridesmaid for her. I was delighted to be asked as
that was my first opportunity to be a bridesmaid for anyone. I loved the dresses
we wore and will never forget their wedding day. I was grateful Judy decided to
marry my brother as she also dated the football captain about the same time!!
She was a popular cheerleader in high school and everyone I knew loved Judy!
Judy was my first friend after moving to Waupaca at the age of ten. I met all the girls who would become my future friends at her birthday party that summer. We had matching outfits we liked to wear and call ourselves twins. She taught me how to dance during following summers. She was truly a friend of mine, and I am very saddened to hear of her passing. Rest well my dear friend of long ago.

Sunday at church will not be the same without a hug from Judy or her warm smile. I was touched by Judy's strong faith, courage, and love for her family and friends. I will greatly miss Judy. Sharon

My sincere sympathies to Judy's family and friends. She was my BFF for many years, some of which were those silly pre-teen years, so we had lots of laughs riding bikes to the lakes, renting canoes and paddling for hours and then jumping back on our bikes to head into town and topping the day off with Chef Boyardee pizzas. Judy was the sweetest girl and a true friend! I'll always remember her fondly.
