Julia A. Pinney's Obituary
Julia A. Pinney - age 78 of Amherst, WI, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Crystal River Nursing Center in Waupaca, WI. She was born on February 19, 1937 in Antigo, WI, the daughter of Fred and Mildred (Abbott) Anklam. She married Leo D. Pinney on April 22, 1961 in Big Falls, WI and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2008.
Julia is survived by her children: Ivan Pinney of Amherst, Matthew (Dian) Pinney of Endeavor, Dawn Pinney of Amherst, and Dorene Pinney of Amherst, two grandchildren: Shania and Paris, and siblings: Jim (Judy) Anklam of Big Falls, Arleen Schultz of Stevens Point, Verna Graham of New London, Fred (Joan) Anklam of Tigerton, and Kris (Randy) Hugley of Green Bay. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; Leo, her parents, and the mother who raised her; Ruth Anklam.
Julia was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Plover for many years. She had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point and then at the Westview Nursing Home in Racine before retiring in Amherst.
A funeral service will be held at the Grace Baptist Church in Plover, WI on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Brian Richards, officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
