June Jones' Obituary
June I. Jones, age 75, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away Monday, May 14th, 2007 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital. She was born in Waupaca, WI on June 8, 1931, the daughter of Clair and Pearl (Anderson) Olson. June graduated in 1949 from the Waupaca High School. After graduation, she worked as a telephone operator until she started their family. She married John R. Jones on January 11, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. While raising her children, June was secretary/treasurer for the Jones Family Farm. She was active in the Wild Rose Presbyterian Church as the Clerk of Session for twenty years. Once her children were all in school, June went back to the workforce as a secretary for the Waushara County Land Conservation Department. After retiring in 1996, she became active in the Wild Rose Kiwanis where she served as president from 1999-2000. June is survived by Husband: John Jones, Wild Rose; Children: Julie (Al) Friedl, Wild Rose; Jane (Tony) Slater, Appleton; Jill (Pat) Inda, North Fond du Lac; JoAnn (John) Holden, Pine River; Jay (Melissa) Jones, Poy Sippi. Grandchildren: Colleen (Mike) Jueds, Ellen (Ben) Koenig, Nicholas Prasch, Christopher Slater,;Katherine (Curtis) Jones, Scott Inda, Sarah Inda, Megan Holden, Jessica Holden, Emily Jones, Ethan Jones, and Erica Jones; Sister: Evelyn (Donald) Johnson, Waupaca; Sister-in-law: Viola Olson, Appleton. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. June was preceded in death by her Parents; Brother, Robert; Grandson: Matthew Prasch. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM on Friday, May 18, 2007 at Wild Rose Presbyterian Church in Wild Rose, with Reverend Allison Jahnke officiating. Interment will be in Caersalem Cemetery, Town of Springwater, Waushara County, Wisconsin. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 until 7 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose and on Friday at the church from 12 Noon until the time of the service. A memorial has been established to the Wild Rose Presbyterian Church and the Kiwanis Relay for Life Team. The family would like to thank the staff at Rosemor Village and Wild Rose Hospital for all their compassionate care.
