Justin M. Genskow's Obituary
Justin M. Genskow, age 47, of Neenah, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI. He was born on April 18, 1977 in Sturgeon Bay, WI, the son of Charles and Francine (Falk) Genskow.
Justin's life was marked by his dedication to his family, his work, and his love for the outdoors. After various jobs, he found his calling in 2018 when he started his own business, Genskow Interior/Exterior Painting. His meticulous attention to detail and hard work earned him a respected reputation in his community.
More than his professional achievements, Justin was known for his passion for fishing. He spent countless hours on lakes, often accompanied by his beloved beagle, Archie. His love for the sport was infectious, and he shared many cherished moments with his friends and family on the water.
Justin's generosity and willingness to help others defined his character. He was always ready to lend a hand, and his presence brought comfort and joy to those around him. His sudden departure leaves a void in the hearts of many.
Justin is survived by his mother and fishing partner Francine Falk of Kimberly; his step-mother Judy Genskow of Amherst; and three sisters Jeaneen (Matt) Kimball of Neenah, Jennifer (Ryan) Sudmeier of Amherst, and Ashley (Reid) Van Thomme of Webster. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews Julia and Marc Kimball, Lillian and Dylan Kimball, and Colin and Graham Van Thomme; as well as his great-nephew Allan Schwister. Additionally, Justin is remembered fondly by his aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles "Chuck" Genskow; his paternal grandparents Stanley and Evelyn Genskow; his maternal grandparents Gilbert and Arlene Falk; an aunt Jolene Genskow; and two uncles Richard Falk and Roger Falk.
Justin will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for life will continue to inspire and comfort his family and friends.
A Celebration of Justin’s Life will be on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM in the pavilion at Smith Park, 338 Cleveland Street, Menasha, WI 54952. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
