Karen K. Warner's Obituary
Karen K. Warner, age 55, of Almond, WI, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 with her husband by her side at her residence. Karen was born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI on July 11, 1954, the daughter of Kenneth and Emily (Hutkowski) Pagel. On June 5, 1976, Karen married Reed Warner at St. John's Lutheran Church in Almond. Karen had worked at the Union Telephone Co. in Almond for the past 5 years. She also had worked at the Almond-Bancroft Schools, Bancroft State Bank and Citizen's Bank. She had been a member of the School Board, Partners in Education, RIF and the Booster Club Treasurer. Karen received her Bachelor of Science degree from UW Stevens Point (in Political Science) during which she studied a semester abroad in England, and traveled throughout Europe. She volunteered for many school & sports tournaments, donating food and her time. For many years, she donated the lights for Prom. Karen loved traveling, taking pictures, going out to eat and shopping. But most important to her was spending time with her family, especially her sons. She is a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Almond. Karen is survived by her husband: Reed Warner, Almond; her sons: Tyler Warner, Stevens Point; Brian (Lisa, and their soon to be baby boy, Ashton Kendall) Warner, Stevens Point; Brandon Warner, Evansville, IN; her parents: Kenneth & Emily Pagel, Almond; her sister and family: Cathy Zanto (Jaclyn & Steven), Wautoma and her brothers and families: Dennis (Cindy, Jennifer(Joe), Shelly & Jordan) Pagel, Almond; Alan (Mickie, AJ & Kevin) Pagel, Almond. The Christian Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 25 at 11 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Almond with Vicar Brian Roehrborn officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday eve from 4 to 8 PM at the Church. A memorial fund has been established in Karen's name. Hardell-Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
