Chris
Jim and I met Karen at Benedictine College at the beginning of our freshman year, and became quick friends. One of our last moments together before Karen left to go back to David City was sharing a sunrise together on the Abbey bluffs overlooking the Missouri River.
We visited Karen at her home in David City and later in Omaha when she was in bible college. She shared her faith with us and we talked into the early hours of the morning. Apparently we were a hard sell, as she told us later that prior to our visit she was praying for us, but after our visit she no longer prayed as she considered us as hopeless!
Little did she know, God was faithfully working through her and that conversation planted a powerful seed in our lives. Not long after, both of us embraced Jesus as our Lord, king and savior. We are so grateful for Karen's zeal for the Lord and the impact she has had on our lives.
Paul and kids -- we never met you, but we know you were greatly blessed by Karen. She was so kind and gentle. Our hearts break for your loss, but rejoice with Karen as she enjoys walking with her savior and friend.
