KARL W. BREHMER
IOLA, WISCONSIN Age 91, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Iola Living Assistance in Iola, WI. He was born May 12, 1918 in the Town of Caledonia, Waupaca Co., WI; son of Charles and Bertha (Kiesow) Brehmer. On August 26, 1961, Karl married Ruth Kurszevski in New London, WI. Karl had been a foreman for the Waupaca Co. Highway Department before retiring in 1981. He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Karl is survived by:
Wife: Ruth Brehmer of Iola, WI
Niece: Christine Bermann of New London, WI
Second Cousin: James (Jean) Brehmer of Appleton, WI He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bertha Brehmer, and a sister, Ruth Bermann. A Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Rev. Jeffrey Holtan and Rev. Aaron Winkelman will officiate. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be in the spring at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Readfield, Town of Caledonia, WI.
