My memory of Katherine J. Harris goes back many years. We were high school classmates and I knew her as Kathy Anderson. Kathy was blessed with a beautiful, soprano voice. Her talent and lovely voice were showcased in the fall of 1968 in the delightful musical comedy, Guys and Dolls. Our music director, Mr. Gerald Knoepfel, made an inspired choice in selecting her for the starring role as Sister Sarah Brown. Kathy's beauty and talent were a delight to behold then, and a treasured memory to cherish now. Rest in Peace, dear friend.

Katherine and I met through her love of music. We would see each other at local live music events, and then when I’d want flowers, and then just by random encounters. Although I didn’t know her well, I was always uplifted by her smile, friendliness, and gentle mannerisms. Rest well, lovely lady; I’m certain you’re already beautifying the next stop on your journey.

My sister’s wedding gift to us was her designers eye and love for flowers. I was blessed with the most beautiful bouquet and floral adorned veil I could ever have dreamed of. They were an explosion of just the perfect blend of greens and creams that would be certain to dazzle the royals and all made with love. Thank you big sister for a day I will never forget.
