Katherine (Katrina) Roemer's Obituary
Katherine A. (Katrina) Roemer, age 50 of Wild Rose passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013. Katrina was born on January 9, 1963 in Racine, WI the daughter of Albert and Antita Kreeger. Katrina married Alan Roemer on January 26, 1985 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Appleton. Katrina was a 1982 graduate of Pulaski High School. She continued her education at Fox Valley Technical College where she earned her Associate's Degree in Interior Design. Katrina worked for Brettschneider Furniture and later Wichmann Furniture of Appleton. Katrina ran her own business in Wild Rose for nine years called, Draperies by Katrina. Katrina then finished her career in design by working for Fockel's Superior Drapery in Menasha.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Roemer, Wild Rose; three sons: Kevin (Valerie) Roemer, Davenport, Iowa; Nathan (fiance Cassie Magnet) Roemer, Oshkosh and Brent Roemer, Wild Rose. Katrina is also survived by one grandaughter, Haylee Katrina; her parents, Albert & Antita Kreeger, Neillsville; two brothers; Kevin Kreeger, Madison; Tim (Ann) Kreeger, Madison; two sisters; Amy (Dennis) Hodkiewicz, Briorton, WI; and Jeanne Kreeger, Portland, Oregon. Memorial Services will be on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 11 AM at Grace Bible Church in Wild Rose with Pastor Paul Hurst, officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose and also on Weds. morning from 10 AM until the time of services at the church. Katrina enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, scrapbooking, cooking, and anything Italian. She will be remembered by her bright, welcoming smile and her powerful, Italian style bear hugs. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Katrina's name.
