Kathleen Harwood's Obituary
Kathleen “Kate” S. Harwood age 52 of Stevens Point passed away on Thursday May 20, 2010 at her residence. Kathleen was born on September 6, 1957 the daughter of Steve and Bernice (Sopa) Haka. Kathleen married Dennis Harwood on March 17, 1990 in Waupaca. Kathleen is survived by her husband Dennis Harwood of Stevens Point; a daughter Katlin Harwood of Appleton; her parents Steve and Bernice Haka of Plover; two sisters Laurie (Gary) Ramczyk of Stevens Point, and Colleen Quimby (Jerry Hansen) of Amherst Junction; two nieces Kayla and Breana Ramczyk of Stevens Point; Mother and Father-in-law Richard and Josephine Harwood of Boulder Junction; five sister and brother-in-laws Deb (Toby) Knipple, Sue (Rex) Weronke, Dick Harwood, Jackie (Ken) Hoeter, Barb (Brad) Flatoff, and many other nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Steve (Laura) Haka, maternal grandparents Charles (Susan) Sopa, and a niece Tricia Lynn Ramczyk.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday May 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Custer. Father George and Father Rajen will officiate. Burial will follow at the Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point. A visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:30 until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. Special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff and Dr. Onatillo at the Marshfield Clinic Oncology Department at St, Michael’s Hospital, the staff on 2E at St. Michael’s Hospital, Dr. Barakeh, and the Ministry Hospice nursing staff. The Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
