Kathleen A. Vogedes' Obituary
Kathleen A. Vogedes, age 71, of Wausau, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 22, 2024 at her home in Wausau. She was born November 3, 1952 in Wausau; daughter of Reuben and Adeline (Heidemann) Seehafer. On September 13, 1980, Kathy married Thomas A. Vogedes in Eagle River and together through the years they raised two children, Analeese and Tommy. Kathy and Tom owned and operated The House of Imports Bar in Wausau for close to 30 years. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her husband Tom Vogedes of Wausau; her two children Analeese “Ani” (Jon) Krueger of Waupaca and Thomas “Tommy” Vogedes of Stevens Point; four siblings Roger (Jan) Seehafer of Williamsport, IN, Reuben “Mooner” (Susan Sandstrom) Seehafer, Jr. of Morgan Hill, CA, Gerald “Nox” (Sue Ann) Seehafer of Madison, and Kristine “Kris” (Jim Belland) Potack of Marinette; a sister-in-law Alice Vogedes of Wausau; a brother-in-law James “Jim” Vogedes of Winter; and also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Reuben and Adeline Seehafer; an infant son Phillip Vogedes; two brothers James “Jimmy” Seehafer and Thomas “Fud” Seehafer; and a brother-in-law Gene Potack.
A Celebration of Kathy's Life will be on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Labor Temple in the Grand Hall, 318 S. 3rd Avenue, Wausau, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in Kathy's name. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
