Kathryn J. Lewis' Obituary
Kathryn J. Lewis, age 95, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, surrounded by her family at her residence. Kathryn was born in New London on February 17, 1916, the daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Bolinski) Rogers. On September 22, 1938, Kathryn married Carroll (Tom) Lewis in Waupaca and he preceded her in death on June 2, 1990. She had worked for many years at Bethany Home in Waupaca. Kathryn is survived by her children: Carole Lewis, Waupaca; Tom (Mona) Lewis, Racine; Mary Kay (David) Pohl, Waupaca; Mimi (Pat) Meighan, Waupaca; Patsy Mittelstaedt, Weyauwega; Tim (Bev) Lewis, La Crosse and Mike (Solange) Lewis, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She will be remembered for her wisdom, compassion and her sense of the way a life should be lived. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carroll (Tom), a daughter Jane Davies, a grandson Padraic Pearse Meighan and her son-in-law, Paul Mittelstaedt. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
